Whether the shop is open now#
The first thing most visitors look for is opening hours. DISPO sites show the hours for each day of the week and say whether the shop is open at the moment the page is viewed. This saves a trip that would end at a closed door.
For an owner, the practical point is simple. Hours should be written in one place, updated when they change, and easy to read on a phone. A visitor should not have to guess which day a special schedule applies to, or search through several pages to find it.
Getting there from the station#
Many visitors arrive by public transport, so a site should give directions from the nearest BTS, MRT or Airport Rail Link station. DISPO estimates walking time from map data, using the straight-line distance multiplied by 1.3 to allow for streets, and a walking pace of 75 metres a minute. The result is an estimate, not a fixed figure, but it gives a realistic sense of how far the walk will be.
Directions are easiest to follow when they start from the station exit a visitor will actually use. A short, plain sequence of turns is more useful than a long paragraph. Owners should check that the directions still match the street as it is today, especially after roadworks or a change of entrance.
Choosing the right branch#
If a business has more than one location, a visitor needs to see each address, its hours and its directions separately. Mixing them into one block of text makes it easy to walk to the wrong place. Each branch should have its own clear section, with its own map reference and its own open-now status.
Owners should also be careful about what the site says about the shop itself. Thai rules limit how cannabis may be advertised, so check your plans with a lawyer before publishing. Keep the wording to the shop, its location and its opening times, and confirm the detail with a professional when you are unsure.
Reading the page in your language#
Visitors read in different scripts. A site built for Bangkok should display Latin, Thai and Chinese text correctly, which means the typeface must support each script and the layout must not break when a longer word appears. DISPO sets type for all three scripts, so the same page can be read comfortably by a wider range of people.
Translations can be added where they help. The aim is accuracy over volume: a short, correct translation of the hours and directions is worth more than a long page translated loosely. Owners who add a language should have a fluent reader check the wording before it goes live.
