The DISPO directory does not rank shops. It does not say one shop is better than another, and it does not place any shop at the front of a list because we prefer it. Every shop is shown with the same set of plain facts, so a reader can compare them on equal terms.
Ranking by quality needs a judgement that we cannot make fairly from the outside. We do not visit every shop, we cannot check service or stock, and any score we invented would reflect our opinion rather than anything a reader can verify. For that reason we chose not to create one.
How shops are sorted#
The directory lists 1,354 Bangkok shops built from public Google Maps data. Each entry shows the shop name, the area, the nearest station and the walk time to it, a link to the Maps listing, and the shop's website where one exists. Listings can be sorted by distance and by these factual fields.
Distance and station access are useful because they describe something real about a location. A reader who is near a station can see at a glance which shops are close to them. The order reflects the data itself, not a decision that one shop deserves more attention than another.
Corrections and removal#
Public data is not always right. A name may be spelled wrongly, a station may be listed incorrectly, or a shop may have moved. A shop can ask us to correct its entry, and we treat those requests seriously because the directory is only useful if the facts in it are accurate.
A shop can also ask to be removed from the directory. We accept removal requests. The aim of the directory is to describe the shops that exist, and an owner who does not want an entry should be able to have it taken down.
Why the pages stay factual#
Thai rules limit how cannabis may be advertised, so DISPO pages stay within plain, checkable facts. We set aside anything that a reader cannot verify, since a claim that cannot be checked does not help a reader make a sound choice. This is a deliberate choice to keep every page factual.
